Forest canopy monitoring

Ian Brennan planted these kauri in 2011 using gorse as a nurse crop. They have recently been released from several years of blackberry growth. Ian took this photo while he was evaluating the use of his drone for forest canopy monitoring.

Our Forests Our Future

This photo was taken during a site visit by Michael Bergin and Clayton Wallwork to one of our demonstration sites - The Tuhautara Costal Park, Woodend, Canterbury. The land manager Greg Byrnes showed us around and said we can work with them to replant key cut over areas into native forest species.
